Description
DescriptionLeads the development and implementation of a Group supply chain strategy to support business goals. Develops capabilities and implements supply chain initiatives to support supply chain performance over a multi-year period, and is responsible for supply chain processes, infrastructure, and enablers. Monitor core supply chain performance, including delivering against product and service level agreements, cost and working capital objectives.Job ResponsibilitiesDefine, develop and agree with key stakeholders a Group supply chain strategy that supports and meets company strategy, company performance objectives and customer expectationsImplement lean six sigma programs within Supply Chain to drive continuous improvementDevelop and maintain controls to ensure the business is operating at the highest level of performance based on key performance metrics and minimized Supply Chain risk.Minimise company risk and maintains compliance in area of environment, health, and safety (EH&S) pertaining to Supply Chain.Maintain compliance with all policy, procedure, regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to procurement.Lead the Supply Chain team to deliver best in class service to customers and stakeholders, both internally and externally.Responsible for achieving lowest cost of ownership of purchased items, driving improved supplier performance and management of raw material inventory levels. Work with both the Supply Chain function and other G&H functions to ensure the underpinning processes to deliver these objectives are in place.Work with other G&H functions to minimise slow moving raw material inventory, potentially including sell back to suppliers.Develop supplier category strategies to maximize value, quality, and service levelsEnsure that existing Global S&OP process is supported with the aim of systemising demand, planning and sourcing processes across 8 sites.Define and implement a Group Supply chain organisation structure, in conjunction with General ManagersProvide direction and leadership to global Supply Chain function. As function lead identify and develop supply chain talent within the organizationKnowledge, Skills and ExperienceA university level degree, usually in Business or Engineering, required—with MBA preferred. Certifications such as those in Six Sigma, Operations or Inventory Management a plus.A strategic leader with confidence and speed in execution. Must have the ability to interact & influence at the highest levels of the company and cross functionally (sales, operations, finance and R&D), communicates effectively and is a change agent.Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skillsAbility to solve complex problemsAble to execute supply chain solutions to meet the needs of high growth business.Able to collaborate and coordinate activity between multiple disciplines across multiple countries/time zones.Sound judgement and decision making skillsDrives for continuous improvementExperienced coach and developer of teams producing leaders and contributorsStrong business acumen; solid understanding of and experience in sourcing, consumption, demand planning, inventory, logistics and production data and critical inputs in the technologyAbility to influence and incorporate feedback at high levelsStrong understanding of logistics and manufacturing processes as well as inventory management principles and compliance at a multinational levelCapacity to build relationships internally and externallyStrong ability to move between tactical and strategic aspects of businessConfidence and success in problem resolution, resourcefulness and the ability to adjust to changesProject management skills; ability to actively participate in and lead cross functional project team (internal), and to manage across supplier teams (external) for projects requiring multiple outside suppliersStrong financial/business literacy and analytical skillsStrong systems knowledge/capability to manage and integrate operating data. Experience with major ERP/MRP platforms.A minimum of 10 years of supply chain or related experience managing a team, ideally with 3-5 years as part of Leadership Team
